Welcome to “The Middle-Aged Man Podcast” with your host, Marc Ford – where life begins again at 40 and grey hairs are just strands of wisdom trying to escape!

Picture this: Join Marc, your friendly neighbourhood fully-fledged, card-carrying middle-aged maestro, navigating the minefield of midlife. Settle in with him and an eclectic crew of guests from every corner of the globe as they spill the tea (or should we say coffee – middle-aged men’s fuel of choice) on the real, the raw, and the ridiculously relatable. We will dive into the riveting world of middle-aged men’s mental gymnastics, (because who said the midlife crisis can’t have its own theme music? Spoiler alert: it’s probably classic rock!), and if you want some career advice that doesn’t involve vague motivational quotes or LinkedIn clichés? Marc’s got your back. It’s not a midlife crisis; it’s a midlife career refresh! We will talk fitness at 40 and beyond – or as Marc likes to call it, “How to turn the dad bod into a rad bod.” and Style. Oh, we’re talking about that too! Marc’s guests will give you fashion tips that are so sharp; they might cut through the stereotypes about dad jeans and questionable Hawaiian shirts. We’ll even talk about society and culture, so get ready for discussions that are as diverse as Marc’s collection of ’80s vinyl records. We’re talking about everything from tech trends to the best way to disguise a receding hairline.

So, buckle up, because midlife just got a whole lot more interesting. Join Marc Ford and his global gang of middle-aged mavericks as they navigate the maze of adulthood with humour, heart, and the occasional dad joke. Welcome to the cool kids’ table, where the only requirement is a few extra candles on your birthday cake.

Must listen for anybody with a business

Great episode about recruiting 5-Star employees.

Danielle got me thinking about my own recruiting efforts. It’s so important to be clear and set the correct expectation in the recruitment process.

Flexibility is a great way to get the most productivity

Danielle Mulvey’s idea about getting the most productivity from employees by being flexible with employees and allowing them to work from home is such a hot topic nowadays. With how the business world has changed since Covid allowing people to work part time and from home helps them keep their work life balance and be more productive.

Walking Away Smarter

Your guest in episode 130 shared a lot of wise advice, especially when discussing available talent in the market. I have never really thought about percentages when it comes to top-rated employees. Finding them is much harder right now and plus we are competing against so many other companies who are also looking for the best.

What I need to learn how to do is write better job descriptions so I can attract the top candidates – I have already reached out to the All In Company to see how they can help me and my businesses. Thanks for hosting and bringing this topic to light!
